I see results!



Another week behind me and I am bragging this week. I am proud of my progress and look forward to waking up every day to have that feeling of accomplishment set in when I look in the mirror or put on those clothes that no longer fit right. I urge everyone who would like to make a change in their health and or weight to start today. The sooner you start the better you will feel. It is a slow process. I am averaging a pound a week loss but it is making such a difference in my health, my attitude and my life.

Eye opener


I thought of this motivation quote today and I wanted to share. When I first read it months ago I thought to myself that it was understandable that it would take four weeks for me to see a change but when I read the part about friends and family taking eight weeks and the rest of the world it taking twelve weeks I thought that it was crazy. I guess I have always just thought in an open and shut sort of way. What I mean is I thought if I can see it then everyone else should be able to see it too. It shouldn't take so much longer for the rest of the world to see my changes was my thought. Well this week has been an eye opener for me and this quote popped in my head more than once. I guess the changes I have made are now noticeable to the world around me. People are noticing and commenting, it feels great to know my hard work is paying off. I had gotten discouraged a few times in the past three months thinking the changes were all in my head and that I actually look just like I did when I began.
If you are thinking about starting a weight loss journey and need motivation remember this quote and try not to get discouraged before you give the world time to notice your accomplishments.

excuses


Good Sunday morning All! Let's see, my excuses for gaining a half pound this week......its that vendors fault, the one who brought in the Klondike bars on Tuesday and told me I would hurt his feelings if I didn't eat one, or possibly its the half pound of sinus pressure I have sitting behind my eyes, could also be the six tootsie rolls I decided I had to have when I got bored during the slow times at work. Whatever the reason I feel its motivation to get me moving even more this week. I'm not going to let a minor setback discourage me. Bring it on week #16 !

Food for thought...


It is true that we are the only ones in control of our destiny. I have  been overweight for years and I knew it had to be changed in order for me to be happy and healthy but yet it wasn't until I had my mind set to make the commitment that I actually started changing.
I am not going to say this journey is easy nor am I going to say that it is happening quickly but it is progressing and I couldnt be happier that I chose to do this. Just some food for thought today. :)

Ready to start my new weekly goals. Sunday weigh in definitely helps keep me on track.... weekends are the hardest days for me to stay on focused but knowing I am planning to give the whole world my measurements definitely makes me think twice about overeating and being lazy. I thought twice yesterday about making Friday my weigh in day but I do believe that would sabotage my success.  Sunday will remain the dreaded weigh in day. Thank you Plexus for your assistance in this journey but most of all thank you goes to my family for your support for me during this life changing journey.

Happy with myself this week. I exercised every day and made healthy food choices for most of my meals and the numbers are there this week to prove to myself that hard work and dedication does pay off. :)
