Boost the journey

Today was uneventful. I followed my daily routine and did well. It is time to add something into my day to boost my journey. I am thinking maybe I should add some type of running or walking. I would love to add swimming but I do not have access to a pool and buying a gym membership for pool usage doesn't add up budget wise for me. I have to figure out when to add it into my schedule. My options are in the morning (which are already full), in the afternoon at lunchtime (may not be too pretty when I return to work), or at night (difficult due to dinner, bedtime routine and bathtime routine). Hmmmm. When I read back over this, it looks like excuses. LOL
I choose lunchtime. Brisk walk 20-30 minutes a day. Lets see how this goes. Stay tuned I will let you know tomorrow. :)

Weigh in vs measurements....

Today is weigh in, measurement day...
I have had my bathroom scales for a very long time and I decided that I needed a new digital one so I purchased a new one today. I am thinking my old scale must just be wore out because low and behold when I got on to weigh today, the new scales said I weigh 191 lbs.so I got on the old ones and they still say 185 so honestly I do not know how much I actually weigh but I am going to go with the new and just continue on my way.
I have to say I did get a little upset at the figure but if I consider that the old scale remains the same on my weight then I am thinking that the new scale would have said my beginning weight was 214 vs the 208, so all in all I am still at a 23 pound loss.
My measurements changed my mood from discouraged to delighted.
Last week,  my measurements were as follows waist-39 1/2", chest-37 1/2", bicep- 13", thigh-25 1/4", and hips- 45 1/2".
Today, my measurements are waist-39, chest-36 1/2, bicep-13, thigh-24 1/2", and hips 45".
I am satisfied with the outcome today so my journey continues.

"THAT MOMENT"......................

That moment when you figure out that all your hard work is truly paying off. I did not realize until today how much more I can do now that I have been eating better and exercising everyday. My husband and I were able to go kayaking, swimming, and spending the rest of the day walking the beach soaking up some sun.
It's funny that as I gained weight I didn't realize how much of a toll it was taking on me. With the extra weight I lacked motivation and depression had set in. My life became repetitious, almost like a job that I didn't want.
My little pink drink has changed the way I feel and the way I look at life. I know there are so many things that I am capable of doing now. My journey continues with a better outlook.

Goals

Let's see... my goals.
To be honest, I started this journey to lose weight. Every time I have started a diet I never have had a certain goal weight in mind because honestly I never believed I could really lose weight.
This time, I am going to plan to lose a few pounds every two weeks. So I am going to call them short term goals that will lead to my long term goal of being healthy and happy with myself.
I also have a goal to exercise every day. Not a strenuous workout daily but some physical activity will be involved in my daily routine on a daily basis.
Goal number three is going to be to help as many people as I can become healthier by sharing what is working for me and giving them the motivation and self confidence that will need to follow through with the goals they set for themselves.
Goal number four is to write or place a video in this blog on a daily basis. I have come to realize that writing this holds me accountable and I need that accountability to remain steady and focused on my end results.

Meals

Today I'm going to talk about my meals. In the mornings, I am not real hungry. I'm guessing its due to me taking the slim and then exercising and showering before I get around to making breakfast and by then I am going about a hundred miles an hour. I do still eat something to avoid a headache. I usually have a banana and a yogurt, sometimes a breakfast burrito with egg and hot sauce.
Lunch is the same during the week. I have found these whole wheat pitas that are 100 calories each and I love them so I eat one of those with thin sliced roast beef or thin sliced chicken, horseradish mustard and some lettuce. I also have a prepackaged bag of baked chips (I buy the variety pack). I drink my water, actually there is not much else that I drink anytime during my day since I started the slim. Nothing really sounds good. On the weekends I eat light but nothing regularly.
For supper I try to eat light. I have just this week started eating a lot of salads. I load it down with all kinds of veggies and no cheese but some meat occasionally. I don't really care for Italian but I have been using it anyway due to the calorie count in other types. When I don't have a salad, I will eat as many veggies as possible with very little meat. My biggest sacrifice has been cheese. I love cheese and I know it has too many calories in the amount I like to eat.

Important tips

I wanted to share some tips that are helping me keep on track.
I have to say the most important thing is to make sure I drink a lot of water. I have been drinking at least 64oz of water everyday. The weekends seem to be a harder time for me to remember to get it all in and I can feel a difference on those days.
Another important thing that is helping me is to drink my plexus when I wake up before I do anything. My metabolism seems to be revved up all day when I do this.  I have basically started a daily regimen. I wake up go to the kitchen and mix my drink, take my accelerator and grab my shake weight... yes I said shake weight. I have had it for a long time and it works. :) I then get on the Gazelle for at least 15 minutes. After the small workout I shower and get ready for my day. I am hoping to get up earlier so I can get a few more minutes in exercising but honestly, I was doing absolutely nothing before I started Plexus so the little bit is something I am proud of.
The last important thing I am going to mention is portion control. I have always been able to eat no matter how hungry I am and I love food. The slim does help curb my appetite but I have to say that if I didnt have the mindset to lose weight then I believe I would be killing myself with too much food at a sitting. I just say to myself that I am really not that hungry and I make sure my portions are small.

My Journey

Hello Everyone. My name is Colleen.  I have been overweight for a long time. I have tried many diets but none seemed to work for me. I purchased a few trial packs of slim and I knew immediately that I wanted to start taking plexus regularly for my health and for my weight loss issues. I felt better, I wasn't as hungry and I had the motivation I knew was going to help me reach my goals.
I couldn't afford the Plexus right away but I talked about it so much that my husband decided a months supply was just the gift I needed for Mother's day and I am so happy he made that decision. I started the Plexus on Mothers day (May 11, 2014). When my month supply was almost gone, I knew I wanted to continue this program. I joined as an ambassador on June 05, 2014. I am now motivated to spread the word about what this wonderful product is doing for me.  I have a long way to go but I know with Plexus I can achieve my goal.
My starting weight was 208 lbs. My measurements were as follows waist-41 1/2", chest-38 1/2, bicep-16", thigh-27", and hips-47".
Today my weight is 185. My measurements are as follows waist-39 1/2, chest-37 1/2, bicep- 13", thigh-25 1/4, and hips- 45 1/2".

Me at the beginning of my journey.
